Fredensborg Palace Gardens was initially built as a Baroque garden with star-shaped paths inspired by Louis the 14th Baroque gardens at Versailles outside Paris. In the middle of 1800, the garden was partly restructured in English romantic style. In the period 1970 - 1990 the lane straight avenues has been recreated. In the palace gardens you will find sculpture-group Nordmandsdalen with sculptures depicting people from the different Scandinavian countries. In the castle garden, you can also take a walk along the Isabella route.
