Jarmers Tower
In 1259 the Wendish Count Jaromar broke through the wooden palisades which formed the fortification surrounding Copenhagen at this location. When several centuries later the city was fortified with a brick wall, his name was comemorated in the tower of Jaromar - to-day only ruins remain.
