Discover Europe and Scandinavia with DFDS
DFDS’s two cruise ships PEARL SEAWAYS and CROWN SEAWAYS sail between Copenhagen and Oslo, the capitals of Denmark and Norway respectively.
The cruise ships are among the most luxurious passenger ships in Scandinavia, and were both extensively refurbished in 2014. Each cruise ship has a cabin capacity of about 2 100 passengers.
The cruise ships are characterised by the outstanding level of service and their high food standards. The 7 Seas Restaurant serves an outstanding buffet tailored to modern culinary tastes, with a wide selection of dishes including freshly caught fish and shellfish. The Explorer’s Steakhouse is renowned for serving meat of only the very best quality. The pizza and pasta restaurant gives passengers a taste of Italy, while the Marco Polo restaurant serves sublime à la carte menus all year round.
The two Copenhagen – Oslo cruise ships also boast a wide range of activities. For example bars with exclusive wines and an extensive choice of beer. In the wine bar, the professional sommelier guides you through the varied choice of wines, and the nightclub features professional bands that perform live. Alternatively, try your luck in the casino on board Pearl Seaways.
The Copenhagen – Oslo cruise ships also have tax-free shops stocked with a wide range of Danish design products, jewellery and accessories. In addition, the shops sell handbags, perfumes, skincare and cosmetics, confectionary, wine, beer and spirits, brand clothing such as Gant, Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger. The prices are as much as 70% below the recommended retail prices in Scandinavian stores, and are extremely attractive for most European and overseas passengers.
Arrival and departure are invariably the highlights of the trip, when the ship sails past several notable sights, including Kronborg, the Danish castle known from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The ferry also passes through the incredible Oslo Fjord.
The well-appointed cabins, which are available in different categories and prices ranges, offer passengers extremely comfortable accommodation on board. All the cabins are air-conditioned with en suite bath and toilet. The Commodore Owner’s Suite is the most extravagant, and comprises a large living room with a sofa arrangement, TV and separate bedroom. The Commodore Cabin Balcony is equally luxurious, boasting 25-27 square metres of floor space with its own balcony and TV.
Both cruise ships sail from Copenhagen and Oslo, departing every day at 16:30 and arriving the following morning at 09:45
