Teglværksøerne (The Tile work lakes) is a lovely nature area where, in previous times, workers were digging for clay for the tile works. In this process, many natural lakes occurred which has resulted in a rich and diverse bird- and plant life.
Today, the area is a nature reserve with a small bridge for spare time sailors, shelters, a fire ring and nature trails. The latest development within the area is the connection of the two lakes by digging a 50 meters long canal complete with a walking bridge crossing over.
You can access the area directly from Aalborgvej.
