DANHOSTEL Viborg has been built around a lovely garden with an outdoor patio by the original hostel from 1939. Later extended with 4 detached buildings and since modernised, most recently in 1999. There are large parking areas, playing fields, a playground, bonfire area and outdoor games. The ‘neighbours’ are a forest, a lake ideal for bathing and angling and the sports centre in Viborg, where the swimming pool and gym can be hired. The town of Viborg, with its cathedral, museums and charming shops is worth a visit. The beautiful scenic area around Viborg, with the Dollerup Hills, the heather-clad hills and the deciduous forests is beautiful – ideal for long drives or hikes. Viborg’s location in the centre of Jutland makes it possible to reach the Danish-German border in the south or Skagen in the north in less than 3 hours. The North Sea or Kattegat can be reached in less than 2 hours. |
