Bed and breakfast in Denmark
For those who find hotels rather impersonal, private accommodation can be the ideal solution. You can move from one Bed & Breakfast to the next and enjoy the chance to see how different families live.
Bed and breakfast As in the UK, many Danish families now offer bed & breakfast accommodation to tourists. This is an excellent way to meet the Danes and you can be sure of a warm welcome. The local tourist offices in Denmark will be able to supply information about bed & breakfast accommodation. The organisation, Dansk Bed & Breakfast, publish a brochure with details of around 300 homes, all of which have been inspected and categorised. Prices start from around Dkk 300 for a twin room. How to find Bed and Breakfast Both in the towns and along the highways, signs signal that rooms are available (Zimmer frei - Rooms). Generally, you see the sign, stop, sound the bell, and rent the room. This is probably the reason why private rooms are mostly let to touring tourists, who want accommodation for one night only. In many cases, breakfast can be arranged.
