Skarø Harbour

On Skarø, you can experience the truly unique island atmosphere. The silence can be felt in the soul, and tranquility descends as you moor the boat amidst the beautiful nature and fresh sea air.

Skarø is located at the western entrance to Svendborg Sound and is known for its rich wildlife – the melodious calls of bell frogs can be heard across the meadows on summer evenings.

Skarø has its own ice cream, produced on the island and sold around the country. At Skarø Ice, you can taste the ice cream, and there's also a café.

Take part in the island's own Skarø Festival and visit the island's artisans.

Good facilities

A playground has been built at the harbor, which brings great joy to both the island's residents and young guests.

All tickets are "All-Inclusive" and provide access to the following facilities:

  • Electricity for the boat (up to a maximum of 16 amp. connection)
  • Water for the boat
  • Toilet/Shower
  • Washing machine / dryer
  • Wi-Fi
  • Information room
  • BBQ area

On the island, you'll also find SommerSild, which offers kayak and pull carts for free use.

The island has tent and shelter sites, located about 300 meters from the ferry dock. The Højestene ferry sails between Svendborg, Skarø, and Drejø daily.
