Anholt Rundt is not called Denmark's most beautiful race for nothing. Here you get a running experience beyond the ordinary as you move through the island's breathtaking landscapes – from beaches and dunes to forests and desert. The varied route takes you all the way around Anholt with panoramic views of the sea and horizon.

A sporting challenge and a nature experience in one

The long distances (marathon, half marathon, ultra run and around the island) demand both fitness and endurance, but in return you will be rewarded with views and nature experiences that cannot be found anywhere else in Denmark. The special peace and quiet that only an island in the middle of the sea can offer makes the race an unforgettable experience.

Community and island atmosphere

Anholt Rundt is more than a race – it is a weekend filled with community, togetherness and fun. There is a communal dinner (registration required) in the evening and a trip into the wilderness with ‘Dark Sky’ when darkness falls (registration required). The island buzzes with life when runners and spectators gather, and there are plenty of opportunities to experience the island's hospitality and charm before, during and after the race.

Race distances: 5.5 km (asphalt route), 10 km, 23 km (Anholt Rundt), 44.5 km (Anholt Ultra), marathon, half marathon.
Walking distances: 23 km Anholt Rundt along the beach (walk Anholt).
Transport to Anholt: Ferry from Grenaa. Remember to book your place well in advance.
Access: Registration required via Sportstiming.dk
Accommodation: Camping, holiday homes and accommodation in Anholt Town are available. Book well in advance.
Accessibility: The route covers varied terrain and is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
