Viggo Salting portrays the clown in his paintings, drawings and graphic production. He made his studies of the clown during his ten years period of touring with circus. Combining humour and wit he has created his own unique clown figure. The psychological game between the whitefaced clown and the auguste clown has been a long rafinement process and has almost turned into a self-portrait.
