From sea buckthorn bushes to Bornholm specialities

At HØSTET on Fløjlegård, everything revolves around sea buckthorn. Here, the distinctive orange berries are transformed into marmalade, juice, syrup and other specialities – both in the farm’s own production kitchen and in collaboration with other Bornholm producers.

There are almost always samples to taste in the farm shop, and larger groups can book guided tours to hear the story of Denmark’s first sea buckthorn plantation. Sea buckthorn is also used in a range of skincare products that make use of the berry’s unique properties.

A visit to HØSTET is about more than simply tasting sea buckthorn. It offers an insight into the passion, curiosity and craftsmanship behind the many products. At the same time, there is plenty of opportunity for inspiration, conversations about sea buckthorn and a glimpse of life in the Bornholm countryside.
