Challenge yourself in Copenhagen’s beautiful and historical surroundings

With a total of 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and a good 42.2 km run, the IRONMAN Copenhagen will put your physical and mental strength to a test. In August, you have the chance to take part in a race of a lifetime.

Amager Beach Park will serve as a swimming pool, while the cycling course will take you on a scenic tour through the countryside in Northern Zealand. Next, the participants will return to the city center, where the last part of the race will take place along the harbor.

Running along the waterfront of Copenhagen’s harbor, you’ll pass many of the city’s historical sights such as The Little Mermaid, The Opera House, Amalienborg Palace, and Nyhavn.

Along the course, more than 150,000 spectators will gather up and spread lots of cheerful energy. For instance, at the hot spot Geels Bakke, where the World Road Race Cycling Championship also took place in 2011.

The course ends at Christiansborg Palace Square, where all the enthusiastic spectators and the participants’ friends and family members will meet up by the finish line to end the event with a true triathlon celebration.
