MTB technique & guided tour – blue trails

Everyone has something they can improve on the bike, and most people will get a lot out of this group. If you are new to MTB, the blue trails provide a safe environment to practice. If you have plenty of experience, the blue trails make it possible to practice some of the truly difficult skills.

On these sessions, we typically practice different types of turns, lines, and pumping for speed and control. However, there is also room for us to work on current topics and specific needs.

Who can join?

The course is for both youth and adults, and children with MTB experience have also successfully participated. In other words, you are ready for this course if you want to ride a mountain bike and—in the case of children—can handle a couple of hours in the forest and 10-14 km on the bike.

You are equally welcome whether you ride XC, E-MTB, trail, enduro, or have just rented an MTB for the very first time.

Certified Instructors

Esben Kronborg is part of the team behind Feriecenter Slettestrand. Esben holds the highest instructor certification in Europe and also trains other instructors. During busy periods, Esben is assisted by skilled, certified instructors from our network—all of whom, of course, hold at least a D-MTBing qualification.

You can therefore be sure that your instructors know exactly what they are doing and can deliver safe, professional, and high-quality skills training. In fact, Feriecenter Slettestrand is one of the very few places where you can receive training that prepares instructors for the international EO-MTBing exam for MTB instructors and guides.

Bike Rental

If you don't have your own bike, you can rent one of our awesome mountain bikes—we also have bikes in kids' sizes. Booking is required.

What is included?

• 2-hour MTB skills course & guided tour with a certified MTB guide/instructor.

Practical Information

• Meeting point: We meet dressed for the ride at the tour's start time by the bike workshop at Feriecenter Slettestrand, Slettestrandvej 140, 9690 Fjerritslev.

• Helmet requirement: Wearing an approved and intact bicycle helmet is mandatory throughout the entire tour (helmet is included in the bike rental, if applicable).

• Clothing: We recommend clothing suitable for the season and the activity.

• Hydration & snacks: Bring a full water bottle and perhaps a small snack (bottles and snacks can also be purchased at the reception).

• Health & medical info: If you have any medical conditions, allergies, physical limitations, or similar information that you think is relevant for the guide to know, please inform us before the tour.
