Reenactment at The Amager Museum
All children are invited to participate in the work that was done around the year 1900
The Amager Museum comes alive when the farm workers pull on their work clothes to do some of the many chores that go on on a farm.
The tasks vary from day to day. It can be helping in the kitchen, digging up vegetables and washing them clean so that they can later be sold, washing clothes, sewing, embroidering, using a mangling board, carding wool, doing field work, performing rhythm and tone, rolling grain, etc. The farm's summer kitchen always smells wonderful, because pancakes are baked here, which is part of the reward. But remember that the plates must be washed afterwards!
Livening up is held every year during the summer and autumn holidays. Keep an eye on the museum's website, where activities are regularly announced.
