International street theatre in Silkeborg

Denmark’s International Street Theatre Festival brings the performing arts out onto the streets, where you can experience performances, installations, music, dance and acrobatics up close. In Silkeborg, the festival takes place at venues including Søvej, the Paper Museum, Jysk Musikteater and Langebro.

Performances for the whole family

The festival presents a wide-ranging programme for both children and adults. Here you’ll encounter international artists and performances that use streets, squares, water and buildings as their stage. The programme in Silkeborg offers sensory, humorous and spectacular experiences. The festival features physical theatre, dance and music.

This year’s programme 2026

The programme features installations, water theatre, physical theatre, music and visual experiences for both children and adults. Discover, amongst others, Octopus Attack, Sound of Sewing, Havfruen Havdis, Kuthi, L’Angle Disparu, Hot Dog, Nois Um, La Boom Machine and Kaosmos.

  • Some performances are mobile and move around the town.
