In the middle of beautiful Langeland lies THE FAT EYE - a unique artistic sanctuary where creative minds from all over the world can immerse themselves in their work. Here, art and nature merge into an unforgettable experience for artists and visitors alike.

International artist residency

THE FAT EYE regularly hosts artists and artist duos from both Denmark and abroad. From painting and sculpture to photography and installation art, the place is buzzing with creativity in all forms and materials.

Experience the gallery's works

The gallery opens its doors to the public for about 4 weeks a year, where visitors can experience and purchase works created by the artists. From oil paintings and ceramics to unique installations, you can find everything here.

Nature walk and coffee in the gallery kitchen

The space is surrounded by spectacular nature with three lakes, a bog and an enchanting mix of wild and manicured vegetation. On opening days, you can take a scenic walk around the area, which takes about 30 minutes - borrowed wellies are available if the weather takes a turn for the worse. Afterwards, the gallery's kitchen offers a cup of hot coffee free of charge.

As the artists on site need peace and quiet to work, the gallery’s opening hours are limited.

Open from 10 to 17 October, daily from 12.00 to 18.00.
