Thorsø

The lake consists of bright clear waters, which has made it an attractive place to go for a casual swim throughout the years.

The surrounding area of Thorsø measures 9,5 square kilometers and is mostly forested and uncultivated.

During the last couple of years, Thorsø has experienced sporadic problems with algal blooms, which has resulted in short periods of closing. Therefore, be sure to follow our rule of thumb and do not go swimming if the water is not clear enough for you to see your toes, when standing in knee-high water. If in doubt, please contact the tourist office.
