Virklund Church
Virklund Church near Silkeborg is a newer church dating from 1994. The architects behind Virklund Church are Johannes and Inger Exner, a married couple known as some of the foremost church builders in Denmark in the 20th century.

Stepping into Virklund is like stepping into a narrative. The interior is beautifully arranged and moreover filled with personal touches. Virklund church has been called “the church of light”, partly because light plays such a major role in the church, and partly because it is built to spread light and joy among people.
