Marielyst Folk High School

The folk high school of Marielyst is located in the heart of Marielyst, 300 meters from the beach. The building's core is the original farmhouse, which in the 1880s was named Marielyst after the lady in the yard. In 1906, the farm became the area's first bathing hotel and Marielyst thus became the name for the area.

The folk high school is aimed at seniors and offers year-round short courses of 1 and 2 weeks duration in a wide range of subjects.

The folk high school also offers concerts throughout the year in its beautiful concert hall. Check out the folkhighschool’s website during events to see what's on the poster in the near future.

In July, the folk high school is hosting a festival for seniors over two days with approximately 60 different concerts, lectures, talks etc. from three different stages.
