Aarhus River originates in Astrup Mose southwest of Aarhus and runs through Aarhus Ådal, including Årslev Engsø, Brabrandsøen and the city center, and ends in Aarhus Harbor and Aarhus Bay.

You can fish in Aarhus River from several places between Årslev Engsø and Aarhus Habor, where the river runs out into Kattegat.
With an interval between ½ and 1 year sea trout fry are put into Aarhus River and Lyngbygård Stream.
Activities: Making flies, fishing rod building in the winter half-year.
