This trail starts at Krudttårnet (the Gunpowder Tower) and continues onwards towards Nordre Skanse (the Northern Sconce); both of which are old fortifications.

The trail takes you past the Palmbeach, where palm trees stand stirred by the wind from May until September. Here you will find ample of opportunity to rest in a beach chair under the palm trees, or enjoy a nice and cool ice cream at our ice cream house.

Beyond the sea, the island group known as Hirsholmene can be seen. The path leads on to the quaint harbour Rønnerhavnen, and further towards Fladstrand Church.

The return trip goes along the plantation towards the old part of Frederikshavn; Fiskerklyngen (the old fisherman's houses).

Finally, the path leads back towards Danmarksgade and Frederikshavn Art Museum, which features a peerless collection of bookplates.
