Explore Søndersø town centre or the nature around it. Søndersø has four “clover trails” (Kløverstier) – a lovely, easy way to get a bit of exercise. Each route has its own highlights, and you can walk, run, or cycle them, so there’s something for everyone.

You’ll find a small route map at the starting point by Søndersø Bypark.

If you bring your dog along for a walk, remember it must be kept on a leash.

The Green Route, the town culture route:

2.9 km

Walk along one of the town’s oldest roads, Odensevej. Along the way you’ll pass a church, Nordfyns Gymnasium, and the 12 bronze heads of wise men and women on the path up towards the school.

The Blue Route/The Fitness Route:

5.5 km

Start in the town centre and head towards the outskirts. This trail takes you past one of Scandinavia’s largest Bronze Age cooking-pit sites, where offerings to the gods may once have been made. You’ll also pass Søndersø Bypark, with outdoor fitness equipment, a climbing wall, ball courts, and more.

The Red Route/ Industry in town and country:

7,9 km

See how the landscape changes as you pass both Søndersø’s industrial area and open countryside. The route goes past, among other places, the manor house Margård, and through the charming old villages of Vigerslev and Vedby.
This route is ideal by bike, as parts of it follow small, quiet country roads.

The Black Route, the culture and history route:

20.8 km

Step into Nordfyn’s past. On this route you’ll pass Glavendruplunden, home to the Glavendrup Stone with Denmark’s longest runic inscription, and the burial mound at Thorshøj, built around 3900 BC and one of Nordfyn’s largest mounds. The route continues all the way to Skamby, where one of Fyn’s oldest churches stands.

You’ll also pass the beautiful Dallund Castle and Dallund Lake, where you can enjoy a walk around the water. The route goes by a cycling rest area too, so you can take a break and enjoy the park at Dallund.
