14.00-19.00: The St. Mads' Spring Market
Enjoy plenty of family-friendly activities as the St. Mads' Spring Market comes to Nyborg.

Witness the Warriors of the Saint Laurentius' Brotherhood showcase fierce combat with weapons and armor, and even test your skills against the armored fighters!

Make the festival day extra magical for the children with a cozy pony ride on the historic ramparts, where they can feel like real little medieval riders.

Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) tailored to all skill levels using steel, wooden, or foam weapons. Stop by the experienced medieval stylist, offering both authentic and fantasy-inspired braids and updos.

The Kingdom’s coats of arms are missing! Become a bounty hunter and help us track down the lost shields. The quest starts and ends at Borgmestergården

Experience the magic up close! Watch the dancing flames as Signe delivers a thrilling and captivating fire performance outside Borgmestergården.

14.45-15.15: Music by Guldganger

Experience a truly world-class market atmosphere as Guldganger spreads musical magic in front of Borgmestergården.

18.00-18.30: Danehof dance for all
Take a spin and dance along in the Danehof dance at Borgmestergården.

Tournament Square

14.30-15.00: Horseback Archery
Hold onto your hats! Watch horse and rider become one at breakneck speed on the tournament grounds, aiming for the most challenging targets with bow and arrow.

15.30-16.00: Funny tales with Mikkel Langbue and Kaare Johannessen
With lots of energy and hilarious antics, they will take children and adults alike on a time-traveling journey filled with captivating narratives and thrilling tall tales.

16.30-17.00: Opening speech

The procession ends at the Tournament Square and Frederic 1. welcomes and tells about this year's Danehof.

17.00-19.00: Horse carriage ride in the medieval Nyborg
Experience Nyborg from a horse-drawn carriage. Ticket price: DKK 25 per person.

Put on medieval attire and explore the Middle Ages in Nyborg Library's DaneLounge, or gather your friends for the open board game café and enjoy games such as Kingdomino, Castle Builder, or Carcassonne.

14.00-19.00: Hobby Horse Arena
Practice with your hobby horse for the great jousting tournament in the library's garden.

14.00-19.00: Open workshop - Decorate Your Own Wooden Shield

Add your own personal flair to your shield and prepare for combat!

Meet the towering jester roaming around with a mischievous smile, always ready for a bit of playful trickery.

15.45-16.30: Karen and Maren Milking Cows
Get ready for a cheerful and unpredictable street encounter! Theater Figuletta’s beloved characters, Karen and Maren Milking Cows, will be roaming the streets, spreading medieval nonsense and infectious joy right in our midst.

16.00-16.30: Grand Parade
Feel the presence of history up close! The young King Valdemar III and his powerful guardian, the infamous Count Gerhard, will lead a grand and spectacular procession through the streets of Nyborg to take over their new royal seat and grace the townspeople with their majestic presence.

17.30-18.30: Giant Stilt-Walking Raven
Make way for the giant raven roaming Danehof, spreading its wings and good energy wherever it goes.

18.00-18.45: The Peasant Wife and Mads the Billy Goat

Watch out for this delightful duo! Spreading cheerful market vibes and engaging with everyone they meet, these wonderful street characters from Theater Figuletta will bring lots of laughter to the festival.

Experience the food area and explore the many exciting food stalls. Here you will find popcorn, soft ice, churros, coffee and cake, savory pancakes, roasted pork sandwiches, sausages, and many other delicious things.

Vor Frue Church

Everyone is welcome to visit the church. Please note that the church is closed to the public during religious services.

18.30-20.00: Historical Pub Crawl
Take a trip around the city's backyards and the church's basement and get the story of the medieval interaction between church, merchant and king. Beer and dram with historical roots will be served during the tour.

Play and learn your way through a wealth of exciting experiences from the Middle Ages.

14.15-14.30: Come feel history come alive in "Spotlight on History"

Lose yourself in fantastic tales during a series of short talks. Our passionate historical interpreters will shine a spotlight on the deadly martial arts of the Middle Ages, the Reformation's impact on Denmark, the forgotten secrets of medieval cooking, early Renaissance legal history, and the devastation of the Black Death in the 1300s.

15.00-15.30: Sharp Weapons Demonstration.
The King's soldier, Nicolai Swift-Hand, presents a demonstration explaining the various kinds of weapons and their methods of use.

17.00-17.30: Presentation of the Castle Project
Come and hear more about the Castle Project and the fascinating work behind the scenes. Meeting point: By the test wall behind Nyborg Castle.

18.00-18.30: Beer Tasting – Taste Historical Brews

Discover the history of beer as an essential daily source of energy. Enjoy samples of historic brews presented by Østfyns Museer and Refsvindinge Brewery.
