Sol over Gudhjem – world-class gastronomy on Bornholm

Every summer, Gudhjem Harbour transforms into a vibrant meeting place for food lovers from near and far when Sol over Gudhjem takes place. Founded in 2009, the festival is now one of Denmark's most prominent culinary events and attracts tens of thousands of visitors.

Over two intense days, chefs, producers, food enthusiasts and media gather around competitions, tasting experiences and inspiration from the Danish food scene. A large covered stage is at the heart of the activities, providing space for both audiences and the programme whatever the weather.

The festival's first day focuses on market life, local specialities and a competition in sweet cuisine, while the second day is dedicated to the chefs' competition. Some of Denmark's most talented chefs compete in front of an audience for honour and recognition.

In addition to gastronomy, the event also offers entertainment and concerts, creating a festive atmosphere at the harbour and making the experience more than just a food festival.
