Here's how you do it

Digital city walks are a web app that runs in your smartphone's browser. When you choose a route you want to try, you must give the web app permission to use the phone's GPS, as well as allow knowledge of your location. The app then shows you around, via a map, to various points - or motes - which you can unlock when you are close enough.
