Jelse Point – fishing between the fjords

Jelse point rises attractively between Skive Fjord and Lovns Bredning, offering anglers a unique chance to get close to the many fish migrating up rivers like Karup Å, Lerkenfeld, Simested, and Skals Å. From the tip of the point, you can cast into both Skive Fjord and Lovns Bredning. The best fishing is often found at the base of the point, where the water is deeper and the seabed more varied with stones, mussel reefs, and eelgrass. The western side is especially productive when the fjord’s water level is above normal. Parking is available at the public lot at the end of Jelsevej, where there is also a toilet building.
