Accommodation options

The area offers several shelters and camping areas, including:

Two small lockable shelters - perfect for cyclists and hikers who want to stay an extra night while keeping their belongings securely locked away as they explore the area.
Wheelchair-accessible shelter with 5 sleeping spaces – designed for people with reduced mobility, featuring wheelchair-friendly surfaces, access to assistive equipment (pulley hoist and lifting sling), and easy access to toilets, fire pits and a covered picnic area.
Shelter accommodating 5 people.
Camping area – booking is not required for tents, but payment per tent must be made via MobilePay on site.

The shelter site can accommodate up to 14 people in total.

The shelter site has been designed with a particular focus on accessibility and includes:

Booking and prices

- Booking is required for overnight stays in shelters

Price: DKK 30 per person per night + booking fee
Sleeping spaces are booked individually – if you want an entire shelter to yourself, you must book all the spaces
Camping costs DKK 50 per tent. See payment information at the site.

After booking, you will receive an email with practical information about the site and the surrounding area. You can expect a friendly visit from one of the local site coordinators, who may ask to see your booking confirmation.

Local involvement

The shelter site was established and is operated by local volunteers in cooperation with Nørre Snede Lokalråd (Local Council), with support from Ikast-Brande Municipality, the Nordea Foundation and local businesses. All proceeds from your booking go directly towards the operation and maintenance of the site.
