Hiking route: Flaunskjold

Flaunskjold is a small and welcoming town in the middle of the eastern part of Brønderslev municipality. The town is located at the bottom of Jyske Ås, belongs to Voer sogn and is situated close to Voergarrd Slot.

Flaunskjold houses around 710 citizens and contains a school, a country union, daycares, a supermarket and small and larger businesses. The town has a particular rich union life, which, despite different areas of interest, contribute to a solid city community.

1. Jyske Ås family and playground: In front of Jyske Ås hostel there is a playground from 2012. The hostel has various rooms which can be rented for different activities and serves as a place of a place for the city's different communities.
2. The Europelake: Was established at the end of the 1980s and stands today as a oasis in Flaunskjold. Here there are chairs and benches which gives people a place to enjhoy their homebrought food.
3. The rainwaterbassin: The routes goes around the bassin.
4. Vikingjorden: Just south from the city's school lies Vikingjorden. This area was reconstructed from farmingland to an area of activity for the school's children at the end of the 1980s.
5. Kirkeskovvej - view: From this area there is a fantastic 180 degree view which captures the huge forrest of Dronninglund, Agersted, Sæby, Badskjær and Brønden.
