Hjerpsted beach - Højer

Hjerpsted beach is a small beach not far from Rømø.

From here you have a unique view of the Wadden Sea and in good weather you can look at both the island of Herring and Rømø.

You cannot swim at the beach as such, as the bottom is thick mud from the Wadden Sea, but you can take wonderful walks along the beach and enjoy the beautiful view.

The beach is often used for gathering oysters, as oyster banks are found a few hundred meters from the coast.
