Lakolk Beach - Rømø

Visit one of Europes widest sandbeaches. Here are good swimming opportunities - also for small children, who can go splashing about in the large number of shallow lakes left by the outgoing sea. You can also surf on small as well as on large North Sea waves.

The beach is an eldoorado for kite enthusiasts. Thousands of them flock to the beach, particulary during the first weekend on september, when on of the biggest kite festivals of Europe is held on Rømø.

Here is also a popular place for horseriding. From may to october you can rent a horse or a pony on the Lakolk beach.
