Aarhus Motion invites you to a unique combination of exercise, adrenaline and world-class views in Denmark's tallest building, Lighthouse.

Programme for the race

Your experience starts in Aarhus Øje, where the exhibition Byen & Bugten takes you on a journey through the building's construction, life below the surface of the sea in Aarhus Bay and the interaction of architecture with the city and nature. From here you will be sent on to the start of the Lighthouse Staircase Race, where 780 steps spread over 44 floors await. It's all about getting from bottom to top the fastest.

At the finish line, at a height of 142 metres, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Aarhus. Here you can take a memorable photo with the view as a backdrop before heading down another flight of stairs. In front of the Lighthouse, there will be light refreshments for all participants with both water and fruit, so you can end the race day in the right way.
