Sebbersund Vikingeby
Experience the Viking Settlement in Sebbersund and a fascinating insight into the Viking Age. By Sebbersund, you will find what used to be one of the largest trading centers during the Viking Age.
The excavation of the Viking settlement in Sebbersund began in the early 1990s. In the location where the excavations took place, a group of volunteers reconstructed a pit house in 1999 where Viking activities are arranged each year. Amongst other activities, a Viking market is arranged each year. You can also discover how Viking families lived and what being a Viking child was like. Furthermore, the settlement has a small exhibition with information on the area.
