Smørmosen Strand is located on Thurø and is known for its fine white sand and calm bathing waters. The firm seabed slopes gently to a depth of around 1.5 metres, creating safe conditions for both children and adults.

The beach holds Blue Flag status and serves as an official bathing site, ensuring high water quality and no dangerous currents. The bathing water is known for having one of the warmest average temperatures in Denmark, with daily measurements during the school holidays.

Facilities include showers and picnic tables. During summer, a long, child-friendly bathing pier with ladders and a waterslide is installed. Nearby are minigolf, a small café, and a camping site with kiosk, grill bar and playground.
