Stone placed by the Baptists
At this lovely spot in Store Bøgeskov, where spring markets were held in earlier times and people visited the springs for their healing properties, the Baptists also found a suitable place for their adult baptisms.
People gathered at the congregation's meeting house in Vanløse and walked together to the spring.
The stone was erected on May 3, 1985, by the congregation to commemorate the 995 baptisms that took place here before the congregation, in 1903, was able to use the newly built Immanuel Church in Skee.
