The Last Waltz at 50 - a tribute concert at Musikhuset Esbjerg on November 26.
Will you be there when The Last Waltz is celebrated in style? The theater fills with fantastic music as the 15-piece orchestra performs classics by some of rock's greatest artists.
Fifty years ago, The Band bid farewell to the stage with the legendary concert The Last Waltz in San Francisco – a moment that brought together names such as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Van Morrison and Eric Clapton on the same stage, and has since gone down in music history as one of rock's greatest highlights.
Now Danish concertgoers can once again experience this musical landmark in the theater as Celebrating The Last Waltz returns with a magnificent tribute concert. Audiences can immerse themselves in classics such as The Weight, I Shall Be Released and The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down – performed with passion, authenticity and a joy of playing by an outstanding lineup of singers and musicians.
The concert was first presented in 2016 to a completely sold-out venue – and not just any venue, but Gamle Scene at Det Kongelige Teater. This is a testament to the music's timeless power and undeniable significance. Ten years later, the 15-piece orchestra reunites to mark the anniversary.
Celebrating The Last Waltz is more than a concert – it is a musical ritual, a tribute to some of rock's greatest artists and a rare chance to relive one of the most magical evenings in music history.
