The Customs House – historic building on the waterfront

Right in Aarhus’ modern harbour area, the Customs House stands as a striking reminder of the city’s maritime past. Built in 1897 and designed by renowned architect Hack Kampmann, the red-brick building is a great stop on a walk along the waterfront.

You can admire the building from the outside – it's located close to Dokk1 and Aarhus Ø, where history and modern city life meet.
