Visit this welcoming, family-run farm with sheep, chickens, geese and rabbits, and discover a tempting selection of products in the farm shop.

Valnøddegården is a welcoming farm with its own farm shop. Here, you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and buy home-grown vegetables, jams and eggs from the farm’s own hens. If you fancy some time out, you can also take a walk through the fields and visit the farm animals.

Valnøddegården is a small, four-winged farmstead with roots dating back to the 18th century. Susanne and Morten took over the farm at Christmas 2018 and have been busy developing it ever since. The fields and kitchen garden are cultivated on the farm, and animal welfare is central to the way the farm’s animals are cared for.

Kitchen garden and farm animals

The large kitchen garden is home to many different kinds of vegetables, while fruit trees, berry bushes and a variety of plants and herbs grow around the property. You can buy a selection of the vegetables in the farm shop, where you will also find plenty of products for both sweet and savoury dishes.

The farm is currently home to Gotland sheep, white Danish rabbits, several breeds of chickens and geese. The area around the farm also has a rich variety of wildlife, including many different species of wild animals and insects.

Gotland sheep

The Gotland sheep, with their grey coats and black heads, have plenty of lambs each year around Easter. The sheep also provide lamb, sheepskins and wool yarn, all of which are sold in the farm shop.

As well as sheep, chickens and geese, the farm is also home to Iben the cat and two Labradors, Knud and Helle. Iben takes care of catching mice, while Knud and Helle mainly enjoy playing and getting plenty of attention.
