The shelter was created as a retreat for kayakers and canoeists, but anyone with access to the water can enjoy this distinctive overnight stay. It provides an opportunity to experience the fjord up close and enjoy the tranquillity far removed from the pace of everyday life.

Facilities at Havhytten

Havhytten accommodates two people and is available during the summer season from week 27 to week 40. It is located by the long bathing pier at Hvide Klint near Frederiksværk. Onshore, a covered fire hut is available for visitors to enjoy after a day on the fjord or along the coast.

The shelter can be reserved in advance and is an ideal choice for visitors seeking a nature experience focused on peace, presence and the unique fjord landscape. Havhytten can be booked free of charge via the Friluftsguiden website.

If the shelter is fully booked, visitors can continue to Lynæs Harbour, where attractive shelters and cabin shelters are available within the harbour area. All other enquiries regarding the floating shelter should be directed to Halsnæs Municipality.
