KØN - Gender Museum Denmark Café

The café at KØN - Gender Museum Denmark is a welcome oasis in the middle of Aarhus. Here you can get refreshments after a visit to the Museum, or simply come to get lunch when you are in town.

The café offers tasty dishes and refreshments in charming surroundings. All of the dishes are made from scratch from seasonal, Danish ingredients. Those are the reasons they are able to serve wholesome dishes with lots of freshness and flavour. They call it Sturdy Stuff and Fresh Delicacies.

Have your dinner among historical exhibits

The café is decorated with cosy vintage furniture and art. To the curious, the displays contain various house hold exhibits from Danish food culture. Weather permitting; they will be serving food and drinks in the Mathilde Fibiger Garden behind the museum.

Local, fresh, and organic

In the café they take pride in the fact that the groceries are grown with respect for Nature. Their greens are from local farmers, and they only serve meat from animals that have lived decent and healthy lives. The menu is put together in a way that follows the seasonal products, and they strive to always use fresh and organic goods. The café has received a silver certificate, which means that all food and drinks are 60-90% organic.

They also offer a selection of dishes for you, who is a vegetarian, a vegan or require gluten and lactose free food.

A visit to the café does not require a ticket to the museum. Book a table on +45 25 45 45 17 or at cafe@konmuseum.dk
